Product description
BS-STACCATO NTL CO2GBB
This BS-STACCATO is an air gun developed based on the motif of STI 2011 Staccato P Duo, a product of STI announced in 2019. Texas-based STI, well known among gun enthusiasts, changed its name to STACCATO in May 2020 (STACCATO: pronounced similarly to "staccato" in English).
As for the 2011, it was rebranded as 20☆11, so it is difficult to find information about the Staccato P Duo, which is a product from the STI era, on the web (there is no Staccato P Duo in this style on the current STACCATO website). The name Duo is an abbreviation for Dawson Universal Optic, which represents a system that allows a red dot sight to be mounted on the slide. The STACCATO NTL CO2GBB comes standard with a semi-long magazine, the 2011 CO2 Magazine Type-NTL.
The outer barrel that peeks out from the tip of the slide is a cone type like the BS-H.O.S.T., but this one does not have a thread for attaching a muzzle adapter, and the thick barrel tip stands out, creating an impressive appearance. Another nice feature is that the tip of the inner barrel peeking out from the back of the muzzle is black and not very noticeable. You can also see that the inside of the muzzle is threaded. A tracer with an 11mm positive thread can be attached as is.
The thread on the inside of the muzzle can be fitted with the optional B-11-14 11mm positive thread to 14mm negative thread adapter (sold separately), which completely changes the appearance as shown in the image.
The front sight, made of vivid green transparent resin, faithfully reproduces the shape of the Dawson Precision fiber optic sight used in real guns. Combined with the high visibility due to the height of the back, it ensures overwhelming ease of aiming.
The lower part of the dust cover is a rail mount that complies with the Picatinny standard, allowing the attachment of a tactical light, etc. The dimensions of this part have been fine-tuned from the previous BS-H.O.S.T., allowing various equipment to be attached more reliably.
The tall rear sight, which matches the front sight, has the same structure as the BS-HOST, and can be fitted with a micro-type dot sight by removing the hexagonal screw in the center of the rear. If you have a Tokyo Marui micro-pro sight, you can just pop it on.
The widely spaced cocking serrations on both sides of the front and back of the slide were first used in the DVI series, a product from the STI era, and are one of the icons of STACCATO products. It is easier to grip and less slippery than it looks, and is an excellent design unique to the company.
Like the BS-H.O.S.T., a metal slide stop bracket is provided on the inside of the slide to protect the notch from wear. (*The slide stroke has been changed in STACCATO to improve durability.)
The fact that this bracket can be replaced when it wears out due to repeated use is a nice design for users.
The hammer uses a square loop type that imitates the real gun. The thumb safety is an ambi type common to the BS-H.O.S.T., inheriting excellent operability.
The grip safety has a short tail, which, combined with the short slide, creates a light and nimble image.
The standard semi-long magazine, the 2011 CO2 Magazine Type-NTL, has an enlarged vaporization chamber for more stable shooting and an increased magazine capacity from 29 to 31 rounds.
The trigger is a long curve type often seen in STI (STACCATO) custom guns, and is also the same as the BS-H.O.S.T.
The underside of the trigger guard and the base of the grip side are deeply recessed so that the gun can be held as close to the axis of the barrel as possible, allowing for a high grip.
The 2011 CO2 magazine is JASG certified. The cover at the bottom of the magazine is a hexagonal screw, making it easier to use. The output valve uses the TANIO KOBA CO2 valve, which has been designed to prevent tampering as usual.
