[Point 1] Multi-coating for all models
Full multi-coating that increases light transmittance and suppresses flare and ghosts. All PENTAX binoculars use this coating on the incoming surfaces of all lenses and prisms. From the small U series to the flagship Z series, you can choose with confidence.
[Point 2] New coating that further improves transmittance
For high-end models, we reviewed the design characteristics of each model and adopted a new coating using the latest film formation technology. By effectively applying it to the lens surface or prism surface, the transmittance in the visible light range is dramatically improved.
[Point 3] Waterproof / oil-proof coating that protects the outer surface of the lens from dirt
Protective coating is also used on the objective and eyepiece lenses that may be inadvertently touched during use. In the unlikely event that oil or water drops get on it, it can be wiped off with a light wipe. (Adopted for Z series and some S series)
