-A steel finish model has been added to the "R-model" Police Positive Special. In addition to re-plating the barrel, frame, and trigger, the hammer color has been changed to a gray steel finish, and the sides have been polished to resemble the original finish.

The Police Positive Special, previously sold as a model gun, has undergone extensive modifications, reborn as the "R-model," with improved realism, durability, and operability.
The cylinder lockup problem (a change in the timing between trigger movement and cylinder rotation), which occurred in previous models due to the faithful reproduction of the Colt mechanism, has been resolved by changing the rebound lever to a two-piece structure made of sturdy pressed and die-cast parts, preventing misalignment of the trigger timing over the long term.
A pressed weight has also been installed inside the grip, and the exterior has been improved with anti-reflective grooves on the front and rear sights and serrations on the front of the trigger, faithfully reproducing the details of the 3rd Type from around 1960.
A steel finish model has been added to the "R-model" Police Positive Special variation.
Not only has the barrel, frame, and trigger been replated, but the hammer color has been changed to a gray steel finish and the sides have been polished to resemble the finish of the time.
Colt has made a major contribution to the evolution of revolvers, and the Detective Special is considered a masterpiece of compact double-action revolvers.
