Product Introduction
This nickel-plated model is based on the 4-inch model, which was newly added after the 3-1/2 inch and 5-inch models were discontinued in 1979.
In the catalogs of that time, when stainless steel models were not yet common, there were also models with nickel plating on the surface to prevent rust, and nickel finish models existed for many models.
Although one of the purposes was to prevent corrosion from sweat during prolonged carrying, nickel-plated models were popular due to their beautiful appearance.
Currently, stainless steel is the mainstream material for real guns, and due to the hassle of cleaning, guns with nickel plating are now rare. This model reproduces the nickel-plated models from around 1970-1979. This model features a tapered 4-inch barrel, checkering from the frame to the barrel including the rear sight base, a counterbored cylinder that covers the rim of the ammunition to withstand the low reliability of primers and high-pressure cartridges of the time, and a semi-wide hammer and narrow trigger, all finished with Tanaka's signature nickel plating technology.
The beauty of the nickel plating, which extends to every corner from the frame to the cylinder and barrel, is overwhelming.
The cartridge used is ".357 Magnum". Internally, it is based on Tanaka's latest Version 2 standard for S&W N-frame model guns, thoroughly reproducing not only the appearance but also the smooth trigger feel as a high-end model without compromise.
The legendary revolver, "The .357 Magnum," with its striking nickel-plated finish applied with modern technology, is a piece you can enjoy for many years as the centerpiece of your collection.
