Product Description
U.S.M9 Pistol Evolution 2 Heavy Weight
US M9 Pistol Evolution 2 Heavy Weight Model Gun
In 1983, Beretta announced the 92SB-F, which was officially adopted as the M9 by the US military in 1985. The commercially available model was named 92F.
In 1987, a slide breakage accident occurred in the US military, and after an investigation, it was found that the cause was insufficient heat treatment at the Italian factory. Although the problem was resolved by replacement, it was discovered that the US military had been using high-pressure bullets, and Beretta sued the US government and won.
Since 1989, all production has been moved to US factories, the hammer pin has been enlarged as a safety measure, and the 92F has been improved to 92FS. It has regained credibility and was officially adopted by the US military until 2017.
This time, the M9 is reproduced as a firing model gun "U.S.M9 Pistol Evolution 2 Heavy Weight". It adopts the 'Made In USA' specifications from 1989 onwards and faithfully reproduces the 92FS model. More than 20 improvements have been made, including shock absorption when firing and rust prevention measures.
