This 1980s Colt Combat Government, featured in the hit detective action movie, is now available in the Wildhawk SARABA version, featuring a dapper rubber grip. [Supreme Gun Black Finish] The slide and frame are simple yet well-balanced, seemingly devoid of unnecessary ornamentation, a feature not often seen in modern tactical customizations. They are crafted with generous amounts of carbon black heavyweight (HW) material, renowned for its weight and texture. The HW slide and frame are blasted to a matte finish, then polished on both sides. This enhances the contrast between the matte-finished curved surfaces and the glossy flat surfaces of the slide, recreating a rich, three-dimensional, realistic texture. The surface is finished with a black bluing process that takes advantage of the HW material's unique properties. Polishing the HW surface exposes a layer of metal powder mixed into the material. Applying a metal bluing solution to this condition creates an oxide film known as black rust through a chemical reaction. Bluing is originally used as a rust prevention treatment for metals, but because the coating is so thin, it has little effect on the dimensions of the component and does not peel like paint or plating, making it a widely used surface finish for real guns. When applied to HW materials, it produces a glossy, lustrous black finish without compromising the unique texture of the material. This rich texture, which cannot be achieved with the painted finish of a typical ABS resin model, combined with its sturdy, hard feel, will ensure that anyone who holds it in their hands will be amazed by its solid feel.
