Product Description
This is a firing-capable model gun by Hartford: the "Colt Whitneyville-Hartford Dragoon (Tokyo Store Custom)."
This model was produced in a limited run (240 units) in late 1847. It combined the grip, frame shape, and hammer mechanism of the "Walker" model with the cylinder and barrel of the "Dragoon."
Like the rare "Walker" model, its limited production numbers make it a highly sought-after and expensive collector's item in the U.S. antique firearms market.
This model gun is a faithful reproduction of the "Whitneyville Dragoon." The case-hardened finish on the frame is achieved by meticulously polishing the heavy-weight resin; each piece is carefully crafted to bring out unique colors and patterns.
The loading lever also features a case-hardened finish. The color variations and patterns of the case-hardening are truly artistic, reminiscent of fine ceramics.
